Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has criticised the Afrobeats genre, describing many of its songs as lacking meaningful lyrics and promoting negative influences on young people.

Speaking during the church’s Mid-Year Worship Concert, Enenche urged gospel musicians to produce more youth-focused songs with positive messages that can inspire and guide the younger generation.

Announcing a Youth Fire Night scheduled for September 25, the cleric encouraged gospel artistes, including Prinx Emmanuel and other music ministers, to participate in the programme.

According to him, many Afrobeats songs fail to offer moral direction and instead expose young people to harmful lifestyles and values.

Enenche expressed confidence that more energetic, message-driven gospel music would help disciple youths, encourage positive decision-making, and steer them away from negative influences and unhealthy relationships.
