The burial dispute surrounding the late gospel artist Toluwanisings has escalated dramatically, with a family representative warning that his body will be exhumed if he is buried in a cemetery.

In a video that went viral online, the spokesperson stated that the family has firmly rejected any plans for a public cemetery interment. He issued a stern warning to the late singer’s widow, Elizabeth, and her supporters, stating that if they proceed with a cemetery burial against the family’s wishes, relatives will open the grave, remove his remains, and transport him to his family home to be laid to rest.

“We have all decided in the family that Toluwanisings must not be buried in the cemetery,” the representative declared in the video.

“For this reason, they should bring him back home. If you people decide to bury him in the cemetery, we will remove him from there. I am speaking on behalf of all the family members.

“So don’t ever bury him there, if not, we will open the grave to remove him and bring him back home to bury beside his mother’s grave.

“If you say you can’t bury him in his house that he built, we don’t know your reasons and we don’t even care to know, just bring him home. He has a father’s compound, we will bury him beside his mother’s grave.”

The dispute stems from a long-standing standoff over the final resting place of the musician, who passed away on October 14, 2026. While the family originally insisted he be buried at the house he built in Ibadan, the widow reportedly objected due to the emotional distress of living on the property with his grave. As a compromise, the family stated that if a home burial is rejected, his body should be returned to the family compound to be buried next to his late mother.
