OKOLO PRAISES MBAH’S LEADERSHIP
Responding to the various welcome addresses and solidarity messages, Chairman Uchenna Joseph Okolo thanked the people and leaders of Mmaku-Agbor, Agulese Mmaku and Mmaku-Ugwu for their warm reception and show of support.
Okolo praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for what he described as exceptional leadership, commitment to governance and dedication to the development and wellbeing of the people of Enugu State.
He reaffirmed his administration’s support for Governor Mbah, describing the governor as a leader whose administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to development.
The chairman also reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and inclusive development in Awgu, promising that his administration would continue to work with communities to identify and address their developmental needs.
OKOLO HIGHLIGHTS PROPOSED SMART GREEN SCHOOL IN MMAKU
One of the key issues raised by Chairman Okolo during the campaign was the planned improvement of educational infrastructure in Mmaku.
According to Okolo, Governor Mbah has promised to remodel schools in Mmaku to meet the Smart Green Schools standard.
He explained that the initiative would bring modern educational infrastructure closer to children in the community and reduce the distance residents currently travel to access the Smart Green School located in Mgbidi.
The chairman said the planned development would provide children in Mmaku with a more convenient and modern learning environment while strengthening educational opportunities in the area.
He urged residents to continue supporting the state government and cooperate with initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and human development.
ENUGU AIR, GAME VILLAGE AND SMART FARM VILLAGE
Chairman Okolo also highlighted some of the major development initiatives of the Mbah administration, including the Enugu Air project, the Game Village and the planned Smart Farm Village.
He encouraged the people of Mmaku to cooperate with the government and make their lands available when necessary for the commencement of the Smart Farm Village project.
According to him, the projects form part of a broader development agenda that could create opportunities, stimulate economic activity and improve livelihoods across the state.
Okolo therefore called on the people of Mmaku to remain united and continue supporting development initiatives, stressing that cooperation between government and communities is essential for sustainable development.
MMAKU CAMPAIGN STRENGTHENS APC GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION
The campaign across the three autonomous communities provided the APC with an opportunity to engage directly with residents, community leaders, women, youths and other stakeholders ahead of the September 26 local government elections.
The dominant messages from Mmaku-Agbor, Agulese Mmaku and Mmaku-Ugwu centred on unity, continuity, development and grassroots mobilisation.
Stakeholders pledged to mobilise residents in support of Chairman Okolo and other APC candidates while also expressing support for President Tinubu and Governor Mbah.
As the September 26 polls draw closer, political activities across Awgu are expected to intensify, with the APC continuing its community-to-community campaign and mobilisation strategy.
For the APC campaign team, the message from Mmaku was clear: support for continuity, development and the party’s candidates as the people prepare to exercise their franchise at the forthcoming local government elections.
