Nigerian rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, has claimed that he is a better rapper than veteran artistes Olamide, Phyno and MI Abaga combined.

CDQ made the claim during a recent episode of the Faloh Frequency podcast.

The “Nowo Soke” crooner also praised his colleague Blaqbonez, saying he is better than most Nigerian rappers.

“I am a better rapper than Blaqbonez, Phyno, Olamide and MI combined,” CDQ said.

The rapper argued that popularity and commercial success do not determine the quality of a rapper, insisting that lyrical substance is more important.

He further claimed that his lyrical quality and depth surpass those of most of his colleagues.

His comments sparked mixed reactions after a clip from the interview went viral on social media, with some users accusing him of disrespecting veteran rappers.

CDQ has yet to clarify or retract the statement.
