Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying the party is working towards securing victory across the state.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement shared on his X handle on Monday after visiting the APC’s presidential and governorship campaign offices to assess preparations for the upcoming elections.

The governor said the campaign committee had commenced strategic planning and was developing its approach to the 2027 polls.

He noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is seeking re-election on the APC platform, the party’s Lagos governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and other candidates in the state remained committed to the campaign.

Sanwo-Olu said the campaign committee was already “mapping out the road ahead and sharpening our strategy,” adding that serious and structured work was ongoing behind the scenes.

According to him, the level of commitment demonstrated by APC members had strengthened his confidence in the party’s preparedness for the elections.

The governor described the APC as “focused, aligned and ready to win across the board,” while reaffirming the party’s commitment to sustaining its development agenda in Lagos State.

He added that the party would continue to build on the state’s progress and work towards further development ahead of the 2027 elections.
