The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on Monday visited the party’s Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.
Details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
The meeting came barely three days after President Bola Tinubu constituted the campaign council for his 2027 re-election bid and appointed Yari as its Director-General.
Yari’s appointment has, however, attracted criticism from opposition parties.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, described the campaign council as a “rehabilitation centre for corruption suspects,” while the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, described the formation of the council as “dead on arrival.”
