Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has welcomed his new role under AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim, according to reports.
Chukwueze impressed during Milan’s pre-season friendly against Manchester United in Wroclaw last weekend, contributing one goal and two assists in the 4-2 victory.
The 27-year-old has been deployed in a wing-back position by Amorim as he looks to secure a regular place in the team.
Chukwueze said he is determined to work hard and make the most of the opportunity.
“So I just have to keep working hard, believing in myself and that I can do it. For me, it’s an opportunity I have to seize.
“I know it’s a difficult task, but I believe in myself. I know I can do it, that I can do anything,” Chukwueze told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nigerian winger spent last season on loan at Premier League club Fulham.
