Nigerian singer May D has hinted at revealing his side of the long-running issues involving the Okoye family amid the renewed controversy surrounding the former members of P-Square.
The latest dispute follows years of disagreements between twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, as well as their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
P-Square, which was managed under Square Records, first split in 2017 following disagreements over financial and management issues. Although the brothers reunited in 2021, they parted ways again in 2024 after fresh allegations over the handling of the group’s royalties.
The dispute has since escalated, with Peter accusing Paul and Jude of diverting the group’s royalties to a company allegedly co-owned by Jude and his wife. The allegations have sparked widespread public reactions, with many fans and celebrities expressing support for Peter.
Amid the growing controversy, May D took to his Instagram Story on Friday to announce that he would soon share his own experience with the Okoye family.
Posting with a laughing emoji, the singer wrote, “Mr May D Part 1 coming soon.”
May D was signed to Square Records in 2011 before leaving the label in 2012, with the company citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for his exit.
