Nigerian singer Runtown has reacted to reports reaffirming his recording agreement with Eric Many Records, owned by businessman Dilly Umenyiora.
Responding in a post shared online, the singer questioned why he would hand over access to his music catalogue after nearly a decade of legal disputes with the record label.
“You think after 9 years, I’ll give you passwords and access to my catalogue?” Runtown wrote, dismissing the reported court order as “fake.”
The reaction follows reports that a Federal Capital Territory High Court ruled that the singer’s 2016 recording agreement with Eric Many Records remains valid and binding.
