Popular businessman Isaac Fayose has claimed that five governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are secretly supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fayose made the claim in a recent video shared on his social media handle, alleging that the governors had pledged financial support for the NDC’s campaign.

According to him, the governors would not publicly campaign for the NDC or make statements in its favour because they remain members of the APC.

He claimed that the governors’ main request was that NDC supporters should prevent FCT Minister Nyesom Wike from winning the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State for the APC.

Fayose further alleged that the governors had offered N200,000 to polling agents in Rivers and the FCT per polling unit to help prevent alleged electoral malpractice.

“They don’t want their names to be in public because they are members of the APC,” Fayose said.

The businessman did not identify the five APC governors he claimed were supporting the opposition party.

The allegations had not been independently verified, and the governors were not given an opportunity to respond in the report.
