The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, Theo Abu Agada, has declared that the party would defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election, regardless of the composition of its campaign council.

Agada made the statement while reacting to the APC’s recently constituted 2027 presidential campaign council, arguing that financial strength and the involvement of wealthy individuals would not guarantee electoral victory.

In a post on X, the NDC spokesman said the outcome of the 2027 election would ultimately be determined by Nigerian voters.

He maintained that even if the APC appointed billionaire Elon Musk as its campaign Director-General and filled the council with wealthy Nigerians, the NDC would still defeat the ruling party.

“I am not the least bit moved or worried by the composition of the APC Presidential Campaign Council,” Agada said.

“If the party likes, let it name Elon Musk as their DG and all the moneybags in the country as their members, we will still beat them silly in 2027.”

Agada further claimed that millions of Nigerians had been pushed into poverty under the APC-led administration, saying ordinary Nigerians would use the 2027 election to express their dissatisfaction.

He added that the people whose incomes could barely meet their basic needs would be the ones to determine the outcome of the election.

“The ordinary people whose take-home cannot even take them home are the ones who will make a bold statement in 2027,” he said.

Agada also alleged that about 140 million Nigerians had been driven into poverty by the APC-led administration, insisting that those affected would ultimately decide the party’s fate at the polls.
