The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports that it has withdrawn the list of members appointed to its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing the reports as rumours.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified the situation on Tuesday morning, saying the APC had not withdrawn the list released as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to TheCable, Morka said there was currently no basis for the reports suggesting that the party had reversed its decision.

“It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” he said.

The clarification follows reports that the APC had withdrawn its recently released campaign council list, which contains the structure and key figures expected to coordinate the party’s campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The list had generated reactions within the party and among political stakeholders, with some members questioning the inclusion or exclusion of certain individuals.

Those reactions subsequently fuelled speculation that the APC leadership could make changes to the campaign structure.

However, Morka’s statement indicates that the previously released list remains in place unless the party officially announces otherwise.

President Bola Tinubu is seeking re-election in 2027, and the APC has begun putting structures in place for the presidential campaign as political activities intensify ahead of the election.
