The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo , has declared the month of August a season of renewed hope, greater opportunities and accelerated development, calling on the people of Awgu to remain united, resilient and committed to the collective vision of building a stronger and more prosperous local government.
In an inspiring New Month goodwill message issued on Saturday, August 1, 2026, through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Chairman expressed profound gratitude to the people of Awgu for their unwavering support, trust and cooperation, describing them as the greatest partners in the remarkable transformation taking place across the council area.
Hon. Okolo said the progress recorded by his administration has been made possible by the enduring confidence and collective sacrifices of the people, whose resilience, peaceful disposition and shared commitment to development continue to inspire the government’s determination to deliver lasting dividends of democracy.
According to the Council Chairman, every milestone achieved across Awgu reflects the strength of a united people who have chosen collaboration over division and hope over despair.“As we step into this new month, I encourage every son and daughter of Awgu to keep faith alive, remain committed to peace, embrace one another with love and continue supporting every effort aimed at moving our local government to greater heights.
