5. Suspected Bandits Kill Over 23 in Plateau Community

More than 23 people have reportedly been killed by suspected bandits in Binper community, Bwai District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The attack occurred less than a week after three people were killed in the area, amid accusations and counter-accusations between the Fulani and Mwaghavul communities.

6. Boko Haram Attack Claims Eight Lives in Adamawa

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Gaya community in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing a police inspector and seven civilians.

The attack reportedly occurred on Monday night, with the Chairman of Hong Local Government Council, Aliyu Sa’ad, confirming the incident on Tuesday.

7. Fire Guts Federal Secretariat Complex in Awka

Panic broke out at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Awka, Anambra State, after fire engulfed part of a building housing the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria and an adjoining store occupied by a pharmaceutical company.

The fire, which reportedly started around 3pm on Tuesday, destroyed office equipment and documents before it was eventually brought under control.

8. NDLEA Busts International Cocaine Cartel, Arrests ‘KC Luxury’

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismantled an alleged international cocaine-trafficking cartel that reportedly used Nigeria as a transit point for transporting illicit drugs to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.

The agency also arrested the alleged Nigerian leader of the syndicate, Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” who was reportedly arrested while attempting to flee the country.

9. Tinubu Meets Akpabio Behind Closed Doors at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Akpabio’s official Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan was reportedly sighted at the forecourt of the President’s office at about 6:12pm.

The reason for the meeting was not immediately disclosed.

10. 2027: Tinubu, Political Leaders Sign First National Peace Accord

Presidential candidates and national chairmen of major political parties have signed the first National Peace Accord ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The agreement was signed in Abuja on Tuesday on behalf of President Bola Tinubu by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, alongside APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, and other political leaders.
