Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has challenged his colleague, Burna Boy, to a boxing match, insisting that he can defeat the Grammy-winning artiste.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hip TV, the “Akpi” crooner said he was willing to stake a huge sum of money for the proposed fight if Burna Boy accepted his challenge.

Speed Darlington dismissed Burna Boy’s reputation, arguing that his popularity and music success do not make him a better fighter.

“I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to fight him. I will beat him. He’s all hype. He can’t beat me.”

The challenge comes months after singer Portable claimed that Burna Boy gave him N20 million for defeating Speed Darlington in a boxing match.

Portable had alleged that the money was a reward for beating Speed Darlington, who had previously mocked Burna Boy over allegations involving American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and the circumstances surrounding Burna Boy’s Grammy award.
