Nigerians have continued to react after actor Yul Edochie publicly celebrated actress Lizzy Gold amid rumours of a romantic relationship between them.

UGAMATV reports that speculation about Yul leaving his baby mama, Judy Austin, for Lizzy Gold surfaced on social media a few months ago.

The rumours gained further attention following the release of their romance movie, My Star, which featured a passionate kissing scene between the actors.

Celebrating Lizzy’s birthday in a post on his Instagram page, Yul described her as the “Ghen Ghen Queen” and a go-getter.

“Happy birthday to a very hardworking woman, a go-getter with a good heart, @lizzygoldofficial.

“The Ghen Ghen Queen. Wishing you many more successful years. May God lead you always,” he wrote.

Responding to the post, Lizzy wrote, “Thanks Odogwu I appreciate.”

Her close associate and fellow actress, Destiny Etiko, also reacted by writing, “Amen.”

The birthday message comes amid Yul’s complicated marital history, following his separation from his wife, May Edochie, and reports of an alleged crisis involving Judy Austin.

Many Nigerians who commented on the post interpreted the birthday celebration as confirmation of the circulating romance rumours, with some urging Yul to marry Lizzy.
