US President Donald Trump has announced that the administration will pay $1 million to anyone who reports voter fraud in United States elections that results in an arrest or conviction.
Trump made the announcement on Monday night, October 26, via a post on his Truth Social before discussing it with reporters.
“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud,” Trump wrote in a social media post.
“I’m also going to be issuing a $1 million bonus or reward, or whatever you want to call it, for anybody that reports voter fraud, leading to the arrest and conviction of somebody,” Trump said, before boarding Air Force One to travel to Corinth, Mississippi, to hold a campaign rally.
Trump has repeatedly made unfounded claims that there was widespread voter fraud in past elections.
The president did not reveal whether he plans to use government funds or his personal resources to pay for the rewards.
Last week, Trump rolled out a new program offering payments to tipsters who help uncover fraud in government programs. The president said whistleblowers who uncover fraud will receive a 1% “commission” on the amount of money recovered, with “no limit” on how much someone can collect.
Ahead of the midterms, Trump has also sent $500 rebate checks to about 1 million Americans he said were overcharged through the Affordable Care Act’s federal exchange for buying health insurance, and $90 to 21 million seniors by diverting funds from a Medicare improvement fund.
