A Nigerian woman, Abigail Martins, has shared her emotional testimony after welcoming her first child with her husband following 14 years of waiting.
Abigail took to Facebook on Thursday to announce the birth of her baby, accompanied by maternity photographs celebrating the long-awaited milestone.
In her post, she recounted the emotional pain and public ridicule she endured during years of delayed conception. According to her, she was repeatedly called barren and falsely accused of being a witch who had “eaten” the children in her womb.
She also revealed that some people claimed she deliberately refused to have children in order to maintain her body shape.
Despite the hurtful comments and years of waiting, Abigail expressed gratitude to God for answering her prayers and blessing her family with a child.
