Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has claimed that she was forced to attend an All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign event, alleging that her life and safety were not guaranteed.

The actress made the claim after facing criticism over videos showing her at the political gathering, with some Nigerians questioning why she attended the event.

Reacting to the backlash in a social media post, Oluebube said there was more to her appearance than what was seen publicly, alleging that she was being blackmailed.

She said she would expose those allegedly behind the blackmail when the time was right and urged her supporters to pray for her.

“I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed. If you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up,” she wrote.

“When the time is right, I will expose the people blackmailing me. The least you can do is to pray for me.”

The actress did not identify the individuals she accused of forcing or blackmailing her, nor did she provide further details about the circumstances surrounding her appearance at the APC campaign.
