Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has responded to critics who questioned her interaction with fellow actor Jide Awobona in a video shared online.

The actress reacted after a one-minute clip showing her conversation with Awobona attracted comments from social media users, with some reading different meanings into the exchange.

Bimpe dismissed the reactions, describing the interaction as a normal conversation between friends.

“The fact that so many of you found that interaction strange says more about the relationships you’re used to than it does about mine,” she wrote.

She stressed that not every marriage is toxic, noting that some relationships are built on trust, friendship, respect and confidence rather than fear, insecurity or constant monitoring.

Bimpe also defended her husband, describing him as a secure man and Awobona as a family friend.

“My husband is a secure man. A brief conversation with a family friend does not threaten our marriage or require anyone’s concern,” she said.

The actress added that healthy marriages still exist and said she understood if some people could not relate to such relationships.
