The 10,000-hectare Enugu Tribu Songhai Farms at Obunofia Ndiuno in Ezeagu Local Government Area is undergoing a major transformation, following renewed efforts to revitalise the once-dormant agricultural estate.

The farm is being developed through a public-private partnership between the Enugu State Government, Tribu Limited and Songhai Sustainable Initiative in Nigeria.

Drone views of the expansive farm show significant progress in the development of the agricultural estate, which is being transformed into an integrated hub for food production and agro-industrial activities.

The project is expected to boost agricultural production, create employment opportunities and strengthen Enugu State’s food security and agro-industrial economy.

The revitalisation is part of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration’s efforts to unlock the economic potential of underutilised assets and attract private sector participation in key areas of the state’s economy.

With the scale of the project and ongoing development, the Enugu Tribu Songhai Farms is positioned to become a major contributor to agricultural growth and economic development in the state.
