Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Muslim faithful across the country to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad and continue to promote peace in their homes, communities and the nation.

The First Lady made the call on Monday in her message to the Muslim community ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud celebration, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

Oluremi Tinubu urged Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s exemplary life and embrace values such as compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.

She said the celebration should serve as an opportunity to strengthen unity and foster peaceful relationships among Nigerians.

She added that the occasion should bring renewed hope, peace and blessings to citizens across the country.

Muslims across Nigeria are expected to commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026 on Tuesday.
