Some institutions become inseparable from a city’s identity with time, and the Enugu Sports Club remains one of such cherished landmarks.

The Custos Care Foundation recently visited the Club, where the foundation’s team and its Little Vanguards enjoyed a round of golf and toured the Club’s facilities.

The visit provided an opportunity to experience one of the Club’s longstanding sporting traditions while also learning more about its history and contribution to Enugu’s social and sporting development.

Established in 1929, the Enugu Sports Club has been part of the city’s history for almost a century. Beyond sports, the visit offered an opportunity to interact with members and experience the camaraderie and hospitality that have made the Club a significant institution in Enugu.

The tour also provided the Little Vanguards with an opportunity to connect with an important part of the city’s heritage and gain a deeper appreciation of the institutions, traditions and stories that have helped shape Enugu.

The Custos Care Foundation expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman of the Enugu Sports Club, Barrister Nweke Augustine Ifeanyi, the executive team and members of the Club for the warm reception and hospitality.

The foundation described the visit as a memorable and enriching experience, while highlighting the importance of preserving institutions that have played significant roles in Enugu’s sporting and social life.
