Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere Egbi has appealed to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to deny South African singer Tyla and her team entry into Nigeria over allegations of xenophobia against Nigerians in South Africa.
Pere made the call amid growing reactions to Tyla’s planned concert in Nigeria. He also disagreed with activist Omoyele Sowore, who opposed calls to boycott the singer’s performance.
Sowore had argued that the xenophobic attacks faced by Nigerians abroad stem from the failure of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration, rather than the actions of individual South African entertainers.
