Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reportedly lost his voice after participating in praise and worship sessions and a night vigil following his victory in the just-concluded governorship election.

Adeleke’s special adviser, Olawale Rasheed, disclosed this on Tuesday while speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on behalf of the governor.

Rasheed explained that Adeleke had spent the past two days participating in thanksgiving activities to celebrate his re-election.

“For the past two days, we have been having a praise and worship and night vigil to thank God for His blessing and grace on the governor and the state,” he said.

According to him, the activities affected the governor’s voice, prompting his doctor to advise him to rest.

“And what we now have is that Governor Ademola Adeleke lost his voice, and the doctor also advised that he should have a bed rest,” Rasheed said.

He assured residents that the governor would address them personally after recovering.

“So, he will definitely come back. He will come and speak himself,” he added.

The development comes two days after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke of the Accord Party the winner of the Osun State governorship election.

Adeleke secured victory over his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
