Nollywood actress Tayo Adeniyi has advised women, particularly those in their late 30s and 40s, not to make marriage or having children the defining purpose of their lives.

In a video shared online, the actress encouraged women who have not been able to get married or have children to avoid feeling pressured or incomplete because of societal expectations.

According to her, a woman can still lead a happy, meaningful and fulfilled life without a husband or children, stressing that self-worth should not be determined by marital status or motherhood.

She cautioned women against remaining in unhealthy relationships or accepting poor treatment simply because they want to get married or become parents.

Adeniyi noted that marriage and children should happen naturally at the right time and urged women not to compromise their values or settle for less in pursuit of either.

She concluded by encouraging women to focus on personal growth, embrace their lives with confidence and seek happiness from within rather than allowing marriage or motherhood to define their identity.
