Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee, is reportedly on remand in a United Kingdom prison, with his next court appearance scheduled for the second week of September.

Nigerian-UK community advocate, Oluomo of Derby, disclosed this in a post on X, saying he had confirmed reports concerning Poco Lee’s arrest and ongoing legal proceedings in the UK.

“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison,” he wrote.

According to Oluomo of Derby, Poco Lee’s next appearance will be a plea hearing, where he is expected to indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the alleged offence.

“His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said.

Reports of Poco Lee’s alleged arrest in the UK first surfaced on social media on Tuesday, August 18.

The reports were followed by fresh allegations from rapper Ms Jorji on Wednesday, August 19, who claimed that Poco Lee had attempted to sexually assault her and her friend.

Oluomo of Derby said he plans to attend the court proceedings as part of his support for the Nigerian community in the UK.

He also urged members of the public to allow the judicial process to take its course, stressing that an accused person remains innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
