Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has revealed that her frequent portrayal of witches, wicked women and antagonists in Nollywood films is a divinely assigned calling.
Ozokwor made the disclosure during a live-streamed interview with content creator Carter Efe, where she addressed public curiosity about her recurring roles as villains in movies.
The actress said she believes God gave her the niche, despite her personal dislike for injustice, war and rancour.
“I think God gave me that niche. I hate every ill because I don’t like injustice, war, and rancour. When you give me those roles, I try to bring everything into them,” she said.
According to Ozokwor, she approaches such roles with the intention of showing audiences the consequences of bad behaviour and the importance of making morally sound choices.
She explained that her portrayal of wicked characters is not merely for entertainment but also serves as a form of social instruction, encouraging viewers to consider the consequences of their actions.
Ozokwor urged people to be mindful of how they live, stressing that good and bad choices ultimately have consequences.
“If you are taking part in any of them, you have to be careful and know the end thereof. Know what will happen to you if you live a terrible life, and know what you will gain if you are a good person,” she added.
