Nigerian music icon 2Baba has condemned the recurring attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, describing the killings as unacceptable and calling for urgent action to end the violence.
During a visit to Otukpo-Nobi community, where at least 10 residents were killed in an attack on July 12, the Benue-born singer sympathised with victims and their families.
He stressed that the continued bloodshed cannot be ignored and urged stakeholders to work together to find lasting solutions to the insecurity.
According to 2Baba, tackling the crisis will require a collective effort rather than relying on one individual.
“It’s becoming too much now. We can’t pretend anymore. We need to begin planning. It won’t be automatic, but there is definitely going to be a solution. It’s not going to be one person—we all need to come together and fight it. I came to sympathise with you all. It’s painful.”
