It was a day of joy, thanksgiving and celebration as family members, friends and well-wishers gathered at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Independence Layout, Enugu, for the solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Barrister Chinecherem Gladys and Chizoba Joseph Nnamani.
The ceremony united two respected families in Enugu State as the couple exchanged vows before God and the congregation, promising to love and cherish one another for the rest of their lives.
During the church service, the officiating minister reminded the couple that marriage is a lifelong covenant built on love, patience, forgiveness and mutual understanding. He urged them to keep God at the centre of their home and remain committed to one another through every season of life.
The exchange of marriage vows and rings marked the high point of the ceremony, drawing applause and heartfelt prayers from family members, friends and well-wishers who came to witness the memorable occasion.
Speaking with UGAMA TV shortly after the ceremony, the bride, Barrister Chinecherem Gladys, could not hide her excitement as she described the day as one of the happiest moments of her life. She described her husband as a kind, caring and good man, expressing confidence that together they would build a happy home. She prayed for God’s guidance, peace and lasting love in their marriage and thanked everyone who honoured their invitation and celebrated with them.
Her husband, Chizoba Joseph Nnamani, thanked God for making the day a reality, describing his wife as a beautiful, well-nurtured and homely woman. He prayed for God’s blessings, wisdom and protection upon their union while appreciating family members, friends and well-wishers for sharing in their joy.
The bride’s father, Sir, Barr. Anthony Chukwuka, expressed profound gratitude to God for the successful union of the couple. He advised the newlyweds to always tolerate one another, remain patient and resolve their differences with love and understanding. He prayed that God would bless them with peace, fruitfulness and a successful marriage.
Also speaking, the bride’s mother, Hon. Lady Chioma Okenwani, thanked God for making the day possible. She advised the couple never to allow third parties interfere in their home whenever challenges arise, urging them to always communicate, pray together and remain united. She prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon their union and appreciated everyone who came to celebrate with the family.
The groom’s father, Chief Ezekiel Nnamani, also expressed gratitude to God for bringing the couple together. He encouraged them to build their marriage on mutual love, respect and trust, praying that God would grant them wisdom, good health, prosperity and many years of marital bliss.
Sharing her excitement, the bride’s sister, Faith, described the wedding as a dream come true. She expressed happiness for the couple, noting that they complement each other perfectly. She prayed that God would strengthen their love, bless their home with peace and joy, and grant them a lifetime of happiness together.
The celebration later continued at Nwalor Hall, Villa Toscana Hotel, Independence Layout, Enugu, where guests were entertained with music, dancing, goodwill messages and other colourful activities.
The occasion ended with heartfelt prayers and best wishes from family and friends, as the newlyweds embarked on a new journey of love, commitment and lifelong companionship.
