President Bola Tinubu has told members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council that they will not receive credit for an incomplete assignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu assured members of the council and other party members that he would appreciate their efforts when they deliver the votes needed to secure victory for him and the APC in 2027.
He made the statement on Wednesday during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
Addressing party members, the President asked whether they were ready to work towards victory in the next election.
“From local government to wards, all the party members, are you here? Are you ready? Are you afraid? Are you winning? Thank you very much, and I celebrate you, no doubt about that,” Tinubu said.
He added that Nigerians would celebrate the party members when they successfully deliver victory, assuring them that their efforts would not be in vain.
“I thank all of you for the last election, but no one gets credit for an incomplete assignment until you deliver the next election, until you deliver your wards, until you deliver the votes before we can say thank you,” he stated.
