Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has revealed that the death of his mother prompted him to take a break from music.
The singer disclosed this while responding to a fan on X on Friday.
A fan, @VicroyDominion1, had speculated that Kizz Daniel was taking time away from music because he was working on a new album.
However, the singer clarified that his break had nothing to do with a new project.
“I paused for my Mom, not an album… Lost her this year, but I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family… sorry I came late this year,” Kizz Daniel said.
The singer’s revelation comes after he had been relatively quiet musically this year.
Recall that in 2025, Kizz Daniel also disclosed that his wife lost her mother in 2024.
