The 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will officially commence on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The start date was approved at the NNL Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held in Owerri on Friday.
For the new season, participating clubs have been grouped into four conferences: Southern Conference A and B, and Northern Conference A and B.
The winners of each conference will earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The four promoted teams will subsequently compete in a mini-tournament to determine the overall NNL champions for the 2026/27 season.
Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, Doma United and Ranchers Bees earned promotion from the NNL to the NPFL at the end of the previous campaign.
